DAY 01 : CHENNAI – SIGHTSEEING – OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL

On arrival at Chennai airport, meet and transfer to hotel GRT GRAND for 01 night. Chennai the fourth largest city in India is the capital of Tamil Nadu, a major commercial center in South India. It can boast of an interesting flair of South India art, architecture, music, dance and festivals with rich cultural traditions. The prominent feature of Madras city is the Marine beach. Afternoon proceed for sight seeing of Madras including the ancient Siva temple called Kabaleeswarer temple, St. Thomas Mount, Fort. St. George and St. Mary’s Church etc. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 02 : CHENNAI – KANCHIPURAM- MAHABALIPURAM – OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL

After breakfast check out and proceed to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram & Ekmambareshwara. Kancheepuram, the ‘City of Thousand Temples’, is considered as the second holiest place of India and one of the seven sacred cities. It was successively the capital of the Pallavas and Cholas. This place is also famous for hand-woven silk fabrics. After Kanchipuram sightseeing and Ekmambareshwara, continue to Mahabalipuram. On arrival check in at hotel BEACH RESORT for 2 nights. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 03 : MAHABALIPURAM -SIGHTSEEING – OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Mahabalipuram including the shore temple, Arjun’s penance, Artisans village etc Mahabalipuram was once a flourishing port of the Pallavas of ancient India. The monuments of sculptures are world-renowned and attracting tourists from all over the world. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 04 : MAHABALIPURAM – PONDICHERRY SIGHTSEEING – OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL

After breakfast drive to Pondicherry. On arrival check in at HOTEL for 01 night. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing. Pondicherry covers an area of 480 sq km consisting of the four coastal regions of Pondicherry, Karakkal, Yanam and Mahe. These where French possessions situated on the eastern coast along the three states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala transferred to the Indian Union in 1954. The places of Interest included Sree Aurobindo Asharm, the world famous Saint and Philosopher who came to Pondicherry and spent his life time here till death. Auroville, which is designed by the French architect Roger Anger according to the concept of the mother and the Raj Nivas. The beach in Pondicherry is also famous. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 05 : PONDICHERRY – TANJORE SIGHTSEEING – OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL

After breakfast drive to Tanjore and on arrival check in at HOTEL for 01 night. Tanjore was once the capital of Chola dynasty of temple builders who ruled South India between 10th and 14th centuries. The important sightseeing places include, the Sri Brahadeeswara temple, the massive temple, destroyed palace and art gallery. Afternoon proceed for the sightseeing for the above said places. Overnight stat at hotel.

DAY 06 : TANJORE – TRICHY SIGHTSEEING – OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL

After breakfast check out and drive to Trichy. On the way to Trichy can visit Srirangam, 10 km from city known for its Vishnavite temple dedicated to Lord Ranganathaswamy. The temple has 21 magnificent towers surrounded by seven walls, which were built around the 13th and 14th centuries. On arrival check in at HOTEL for 01 night. Trichy, the temple town is situated on the banks of river Cauvery. The city was a Chola citadel from the Sangam age. After late lunch proceed to visit Rock Fort temple. It is an 83 meters hill and can be reached by climbing 437 steps cut into a tunnel through the rock. Visit the temple on the top. Over night stay at hotel.

DAY 07: TRICHY – MADURAI SIGHTSEEING – OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL

After breakfast drive to Madurai. Madurai known as the temple town of South India is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu. On arrival check in at Hotel for 01 night. Once the capital city of Pandyas. Madurai is famous for the Meenakshi Temple, with its towering gopurams and rare sculptures. Other important attractions include Thirumalai Naicker Palace, Koodal Azhagar Temple and the Gandhi Museum. Sightseeing including all the above places. Evening to witness Pooja ceremony in the temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 08 : MADURAI – PERIYAR – BOAT RIDE – OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL

Periyar, one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries of South India famous for Eelephants. Spread across 777 sq. km is thick evergreen forest, this Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at the close quarters from the safety of a boat on Periyar Lake. Evening go for a 02 hours boat cruise in the lake to watch wild animals. Later to visit spice plantations. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 09 : PERIYAR –KUMARAKOM - ALLEPPEY (HOUSEBOAT)

After breakfast drive to Kumarakom , one of the most beautiful backwater site in this state. En route visit coco and rubber plantations. On arrival you will board in the HOUSE BOAT to go for 22 hrs cruise through the world famous backwaters of Kerala. The backwaters of Kerala is world famous and the cruise in the house boat is the best way to experience the beautiful backwaters. Alleppey has a large network of canals and is a center for backwater cruises in our state. The famous Nehru Trophy Boat race - the most colorful of boat races, is held here on the second Saturday of August every year. During the cruise you will have stops to go for short walks through the villages. The villagers are normally pleasant and generous to the tourists!!!. Overnight in the boat.

DAY 10: ALLEPPEY– KOCHI - DEPARTURE

Morning free to relax. Later transfer to Cochin airport for departure as per your flight.
